In order to prevent plastic raw materials from leaking into the environment, we should make sure that they are properly stored, recycled and/or disposed of, starting with the following

Ø Commit to making zeroplastic resin loss a priority.

Ø Assess your company’ssituation and needs.

Ø Make necessary upgrades infacilities and equipment as appropriate.

•      Improve our worksite set-upto prevent and address spills.

•      Create and publish internalprocedures to achieve zero pellet loss goals.

•      Provide employee trainingand accountability for spill prevention, containment, cleanup, and disposal.

Ø Raise employee awareness andcreate accountability by encouraging them to sign the Employee CommitmentPledge.

Ø Comply with all applicablestate and local regulations governing pellet containment.

Ø Follow up and enforceprocedures, including conducting routine inspections and looking for ways tocontinuously improve your program.

Ø Submit quarterly datareports with OCS^® core metrics, including type, weight or volume ofany non-recovered plastic resins in different forms.
